02 / What I can help with

A clear website. A useful next step.

Start with the pages and features your visitors actually need. I’ll organize the content, build for mobile, and connect the agreed tools.

01

Make your offer clear

Pages that explain what you do, show your work, and help people contact you. Designed to read well on phones, tablets, and computers.

Business websites · Portfolios · Artist & music sites

02

Connect the essentials

A contact form, social links, music or video embeds, or an existing booking tool. We agree which connections belong in your project.

Integrations are scoped individually

03

Know how to make changes

Get the agreed account access and editing instructions. Choose to manage updates yourself or discuss a defined support plan.

Clear access · Simple editing · Optional care

Know what goes into your project.

An agreed scope keeps the build practical—and makes everyone’s part clear.

What I build

The pages, mobile layout, contact route, social links, and metadata agreed for your project. Domain and hosting configuration can be part of the scope; extra integrations are identified separately.

What you bring

A short description of your business, the services or work you want to show, your contact details, and any copy or images you have permission to use. I can help organize and lightly edit what you provide.

What you receive

The agreed website, account access, and practical instructions for the editing approach we choose. We discuss ongoing costs and support before setup.

03 / How we get there

A clear process, from first idea to handover.

  1. 01

    Understand

Start with what you do, who needs the site, and what a visitor should do next. A rough idea is enough to begin.

  2. 02

    Agree

Set the pages, content, features, costs, and revision rounds in writing. Extra requests get a separate scope.

  3. 03

    Build & review

Review a working draft and bring feedback together. We refine the site against the agreed brief.

  4. 04

    Launch & hand over

Check the essentials, connect the approved domain, and explain the accounts and editing approach. Choose support if it is useful.

04 / A straightforward starting point

A defined project. A clear quote.

YOUR WEBSITE

A focused website, built around your needs.

Request a quote

Tell me what you do and what your website needs to help people do. I’ll propose a manageable scope with the build fee and any running costs explained separately.

  • Responsive pages for phones, tablets, and computers
  • Clear services, portfolio, or artist content
  • Light editing of the copy you provide
  • An agreed contact route and social links
  • Basic page titles, descriptions, and sharing metadata
  • Domain and hosting setup, with a practical handover

Full copywriting, brand identity, extra integrations, ecommerce, customer accounts, and custom payment systems are outside the core website offer.

Talk through your project

Pages, features, revision rounds, payment arrangements, and handover are agreed in writing before work begins.

UNDERSTAND THE WHOLE BUDGET

The build is one part of the cost.

Website build
One agreed setup fee for the pages and features in your written scope.
Third-party running costs
Domain registration, hosting, and paid tools are separate. The exact services and their costs need agreement before setup.
Optional support
A recurring service with a written checklist and limits. One-off changes can be quoted without a monthly plan.

Ongoing support is optional. We can agree a specific set of routine checks or content edits, or quote a one-off change when you need it.

Know the running costs before setup.

Third-party costs are separate: domain registration, hosting, paid booking or form tools, and any other subscriptions. We identify the services and their costs before you agree to them.

05 / The person building your site

Hi, I’m Dave.

I’m Dave Baker—a musician, visual artist, and independent website builder. My creative work lives under the name Baker Dave.

I started Baker Dave Design to help small businesses and creative people present their work online without having to manage every technical detail themselves.

You’ll speak directly with me about the brief, review the build with me, and get a clear handover. We’ll agree what the site needs now and keep extra work clearly scoped.

06 / Good questions

A little clarity before we start.

What do I need to prepare?

A short description of your business, the services or work you want to show, your preferred contact details, and any images or existing copy you have permission to use. I can help organize and lightly edit what you bring. Full copywriting and brand development are separate work.

How do revisions work?

We agree the revision rounds and feedback process as part of the written scope. Bring feedback together for each round so we can work through it clearly. New pages, features, or a change in direction may need a separate quote.

What will I pay after launch?

Domain registration, hosting, and any paid third-party tools have their own costs. Optional support is separate from the website build. I identify proposed services and costs before setup, so you can review the whole budget.

How do payments work?

The quote sets out the project fee and proposed payment arrangement. We agree the payment stages, launch conditions, and cancellation terms before work begins.

Who owns the website and accounts?

We agree ownership, account access, source files, and any third-party licenses before work begins. The proposal identifies the domain and hosting accounts and explains what is included in the handover.

Can I update it myself?

We choose an editing approach around the content you expect to change. A simple content file, a content editor, or asking for an update can each make sense. We agree the approach before building; a visual editor is not automatically included.

What if I don’t want ongoing support?

Support is optional. You can manage your site and service accounts yourself, or request changes as separately quoted work. We agree who handles routine checks and updates, along with any post-launch correction period, before launch.

Do you build shops or custom applications?

My starting offer is focused business and creative websites. Complex ecommerce, customer accounts, custom payment processing, and sensitive-data systems are outside this initial service. A small integration or workflow improvement can be discussed separately.

07 / Start a conversation

What are you working on?

Tell me a little about your business and what you need from a website. You don’t need a finished brief—or a scheduled call—to get started.

A simple first conversation.

A few useful details are enough to begin. The next conversation is about fit, scope, and costs.

  1. Understand the project

I review what you need and ask for any missing details.

  2. Define a sensible scope

We discuss the pages, content, integrations, and third-party services before a written proposal.

  3. Choose the next step

You review the scope and price before deciding whether to proceed.
